Job Overview
LEI is seeking an Electrical Construction Estimator. The Estimator will support the Sales Manager and the Construction Sales team by preparing estimates for all assigned projects. The Electrical Construction Estimator is responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical projects.
Job Description
• Develop proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar estimating software applications.
• Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, engineers, and sales team to ensure clear and accurate project scopes.
• Perform material take-offs, labor calculations, and cost analysis.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain competitive pricing for materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial electrical construction projects.
• Identify and recommend value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs.
• Ensure estimates comply with NEC codes, local regulations, and industry standards.
• Communicates regularly with the Sales Manager throughout the bidding process, providing updates, addressing questions, and delivering a final bid overview upon completion
• Calculate change orders for awarded projects during construction

• Ability to adapt plans and strategies in response to changing project conditions and requirements.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills
• Must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
Physical Requirements
• Required to remain in a stationary position at a desk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Employee may be required to climb ladders to access equipment
• Salary positions are based on a 45 hr. standard work week.
